Cone Series
Cone Series	The Cone series is of limited extent in California. It is formed in the cinders on volcanic cones in the northern Sacramento Valley. In the photograph, you can see the dark colored cinders below the soil. The soil profile consists of a thin A horizon over a C horizon that sits on the coarse cinders.
