Hoagland Hall Evacuation / Roll Call
The reason for roll taking at the evacuation site is to save lives and time so that fire fighters are not searching the building for those already at the evacuation site.
WHEN THE FIRE ALARM (loud piercing noise and strobe light) SOUNDS:
1. Turn off all flames, shut down equipment if needed, take personal belongings such as car keys, purse, medications, and report to the evacuation assembly area which is the grassy area south of Hoagland Hall, east of the parking lot.
2. Report to the roll call person
so that you are accounted for. LAWR personnel will report
to Irenee Ramirez who is a staff member of DANR. Richard
Jacobsen is the alternate Roll call person.
3. Several other departments are located
in Hoagland Hall. The main occupants are the DANR lab
and EH&S. Steve Ball of EH&S is the building coordinator. The building assembly area for EH&S is different from LAWR’s and DANR’s.
4. Do not use the elevators when the fire alarm is sounding.
5. Stay at the evacuation site until dismissed. At the site, you may be given further instructions.
6. At the time of evacuation, “DO Not Enter” signs will be posted on the main doors. Remember to take your personal belongings (car keys, medication, etc) with you when you evacuate the building. You may not be able to re-enter the building again for a length of time, depending on the nature of the evacuation.
7. If you know of anyone who needs
special assistance during an evacuation, please let
Dianne Louie, Tony Matista or Richard Jacobsen know so that we can
make arrangements ahead of time.
