Emergency Action Plan

Buildings covered: Plant and Environmental Sciences (PES), Hoagland Hall, Hoagland Annex, Greenhouse 60, Orchard Park greenhouses and headhouse, Veihmeyer Hall, Drainage Laboratory 1, Headhouse 20A, and Irrigation Field Laboratory.

The EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN for LAWR consists of the following:

1. Building evacuation plan
2. Assembly area for the various buildings in the department
3. The emergency action personnel assigned to assist in specific areas of the buildings in case of an emergency evacuation
4. Building floor maps
5. Responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator
6. Instructions for persons with mobility impairment
7. Instructions for: Classrooms and teaching laboratories, Students and campus visitors, Night, Weekend, and Holiday Operations.
8. Roll Call and emergency contact information for personnel is available in the individual offices or labs. Each administrative office in the three main buildings has the complete roll call listing for the whole building. A column for keeping track of injured and missing persons is included in this roll call list.
9. Safety nets and other information pertaining to emergency preparedness

Emergency evacuation routes are posted at the main entrances of the buildings, classrooms, and administrative offices. Locations of fire alarms and extinguishers and general emergency procedures are indicated on the maps

Each laboratory and the main offices of PES, Hoagland Hall and Veihmeyer Hall have a first aid kit.
