Downloading Maps
The maps included on this website use a Mr. SID county compressed mosaic of digital orthophotography and soil lines in the Soil Survey Geographic (SSURGO) data base for Colusa County, CA. The maps were developed using ArcView 3.2a. The soils lines were compiled on analog orthophotograhy dated 1983. The imagery was taken between 1996 and 2001. There may be a mismatch between the soil lines and the imagery shown.
From this page you may download a quadrangle map as one graphic. These maps are to scale and were produced using ArcView 3.2a.
The maps are in .tif format, two scales: 1:24,000 and 1:62,500. The maps at 1:24,000 are suitable for printing on a large plotter (22" x 34"). The maps at 1:62,500 are suitable for printing on standard 8.5" x 11" paper.
These files are large in size and may take a long take time to download, depending on the type of connection you have.
The following table shows the file sizes for each map. To download a map, locate the quadrangle name and right click on the cell corresponding to the desired scale, click "Save Link As", select the folder in which you wish to save the file, then click "Save".
