Columnar structure
Columnar structure	Note the shape of the peds. They are longer than they are wide and they have rounded tops. This is characteristic of columnar structure. Columnar structure is not common. More common is prismatic structure. Even more rare is to find either columnar or prismatic structure found at the soil surface.
